Wow! What a nice compliment! Thanks so much! Now I'll have to be even more on top of the list. It's a labor of love - it is labor but I really love doing it and learning more about other startups in the area and reaching out to them to support them.

We are potentially adding 3 new members to our team in the next couple weeks of superstar high-powered folks that will make SocialGrow have even more presence.

Bostinnovation has taken the local community by storm. Excellent job!

Hi Marsh,

Thanks for the big shout-out! I appreciate it. I am sure they knew all about you for my post, but your spot on that list was well deserved. I stalked your tweets for awhile, so I did my research.

I love your pay-it forward advice! I am a huge believer in paying it forward whether that means in the startup world or in my personal life. Plain and simple, it's what builds community. Help and promote others around you and people will look to you as a leader.

Fabulous post (even though I am a little bias)!

P.S Your Boston startups list is the ONLY list I "follow" on Twitter. I check it every day.

Marsh,

Thanks for the mention. Those are good tips. Being a part of the community is a key part of any company that wants to succeed. You have to get out there; that's where the ideas, feedback and first users are! It's also a great way to generate buzz and you're more likely to meet people who might cover your startup, like BostInnovation, Scott Kirsner and Galen Moore.
